TMJ disorder can affect any age
TMJ disorder commonly affects adults in any stage of life. Although children can have TMJ disorder, it's not very common to their age group. We see it more often as patients mature into their -teens and later. We also see it in elderly as it has progressed into arthritis of the TMJ at that point. Treatment can be tailored to the patient's age, however the cure is usually similar but every patient is different.
